Uninstalling the 9.0 System Component from NetWare

Return to Knowledgebase

You will need to have your license number available for re-installation for the NetWare target. Right-Click on the machine and do "Update Serial Number" to get the license information.


At the NetWare server, enter "Unload OFM.NLM" to unload this software from memory.


From the Control Component, do "UnInstall" for the NetWare machine.


Verify that the following files are gone, delete them from SYS\SYSTEM if necessary.


  • OFM.NLM


  • OFMCDM.CDM (NW 6.x)


  • OFMCDM.CFG (NW 6.x)


  • OFMHAM.HAM (NW 6.x)


Delete SYS\SYSTEM\OFM folder


Delete any Open File Manager SYSTEM directories from all remaining volumes, ie., <VolumeName>\SYSTEM\OFM, if they still exist (OFM creates a SYSTEM directory on all legacy volumes for consistency, and it is ok to delete these).
