
| Knowledgebase Should I disable some of the OFM agents? Almost all of the agents are "enabled" by default because we do not know which backup utility you are using. Agents are enabled or disabled by setting properties for a machine from the "Agents" tab, as shown below.
The agents are listeners, and become active only when needed. Agents use negligible resources when not in use, and minimal resources when active. There is no explicit need to disable the agents you are not using. Remember that if you change which backup utility you are using for a particular machine, you will need to "re-enable" the appropriate agent for that machine, if you disabled it.
