What is an Open File Manager Subscription?

A subscription is a component of your licensing. It consists of a subscription period and related benefits as outlined below. A subscription primarily keeps you up to date on product upgrades including agent support, and entitles you to technical support.


Subscription Periods

Typically, customers have subscriptions of:


  • One Year


  • Two Years


  • Three Years


Subscription Entitlements

Customers on subscription receive:


  • Free Open File Manager software updates for your subscription period.


  • Access to documentation


  • Access to the latest backup agents


  • Technical Support by OEM's and Partners


    or


  • Unlimited Open File Manager Software Technical Support by Email and Phone


  • Also, it is our policy to provide support for the current and immediately previous version of Open File Manager. Currently, that would be 8.x and 9.x versions.


Subscription Expiration

When a subscription expires:


  • OFM will continue to work within the bounds of the currently installed product. There is a message that gets printed to the Open File Manager log.


 However, you will no longer receive:


  • Product Upgrades


  • Agent Upgrades or Additions


  • Open File Manager Technical Support


If you are using Open File Manager in an environment that is changing, or expanding, or involves periodic use of updated or new backup applications, an ongoing subscription is highly recommended.
