Cannot create, delete, rename or move MAC OS X files or folders on NetWare 6.x NSS systems

FACT:
Cannot create, delete, rename or move MAC OS X files or folders on NetWare 6.x NSS systems running St. Bernard Software's Open File Manager (OFM) v9.401c and earlier 9.x builds.

ISSUE:
We discovered an issue in Open File Manger (tm) 9..401c and earlier 9.x builds, that interferes with attempts to create, rename, move or delete MAC OS X files or folders on NetWare 6.x NSS systems. As an example, when a new Mac folder is created on a NetWare 6.5/SP2 server, it is named "untitled folder" by default. When the user attempts to rename this folder, an error 50 is generated on the Mac workstation with a dialog indicating that the name cannot be used. Different error messages are generated depending on whether the operation involves attempts to create, delete, rename or move MAC OS X files. All reported instances of this Open File Manager issue were from customers running NW6/SP2 with AFPTCP.NLM dated December 2004.

CAUSE:
We successfully reproduced this issue and corrected the Open File Manager code in hotfix 9.401d. Essentially, OFM had a bug in zZIDRename. When OFM.NLM was given VolIdPtr = NULL, OFM's DynamicVolIdPtr was not initialized correctly. St. Bernard also found a similar bug in zZIDDelete and corrected it in this hotfix as well.

RESOLUTION:
This issue is corrected in Open File Manager v9.401d, and later.
